“It’s a card game,” you explain, taking the cards out of the box.
“What does this have to do with humanity?” Michael asks, face twisting into disgust, hands waving at the stiff rectangles of paper as you set up the game.
“It’s just-” you start, frowning at the table. “It’s just a game. It’s fun…you just have to have a sense of humor to play.”
Michael blinks.
“You really need a lot of people to play,” you continue. “I’d just like to know your answers to-”
“Against.”
“What?”
“I’m against humanity.”
You roll your eyes, breathe out an exasperated sigh. “You know what? Fine. Let’s just go find you some more monsters to experiment on.”
What chance do we have? The question is, what choice? Run, hide, plead for mercy, scatter your forces. You give way to an enemy this evil with this much power, and you condemn the galaxy to an eternity of submission. The time to fight is now.
