It’s little things like this tic of Dean’s… watch the way he’s clenching and unclenching his fingers, and the way he rubs his fingers together, as he walks toward Sam. A sign of high emotions for Dean, which isn’t surprising given that this is the two of them reunited after Sam just died. I love that you can track his emotions through the little tactile movements he makes. {13.22}
Dean’s hand on Sam’s shoulder as they walk together. And, at the end, guiding Sam toward the car as they separate. Clearly, a comfort thing after they’ve just run for their lives and narrowly escaped capture/death, only letting him go when they have to separate to get into the Impala. Maybe to ground him, maybe to ground Sam. Maybe to ground them both. They’re alive, they’re safe and with the Impala right in front of them, they’re home.
